History First National Bank in Okeene, Oklahoma was organized September 25th, 1916, with paid in capital of $25,000.00, with the following officers and directors; J.P. Roetzel, President; D.M. Slonecker, Vice- President; G.F Roetzel, Cashier; B.C. Sahm, Director; and Dr. L.M. Murdoch, Director. In June of 1925, C.C. Wisdom purchased the stock of J.P. Roetzel and was elected Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, at which time D.M Slonecker was elected President. Upon the death of C.C. Wisdom on January 8, 1958, his son C.W Wisdom was elected Chairman of the Board and President. Upon the death of C.W. Wisdom in 1993 Grace V. Wisdom was elected Chairman of the Board, with Robert Boeckman continuing to serve as President and Director. In 2007 Dr. Peggy Wisdom was elected Chairman of the Board and continues to serve today. The Wisdom Family continues to play an active and vital role in the leadership and direction of First National Bank in Okeene. The bank in 1927 was located where the Venture foods parking lot is currently located which is across Highway 8 to the east from its current location. C.C. Wisdom, Albert Fox , and Sam Fox SR. were the bank staff during this period. The bank moved in 1962 to its present location. In 1975 the bank experienced growth again and expanded its building to the south to encompass its current facility. First National Bank in Okeene and the Wisdom Family are very proud to have been a part of the growth and progress of Okeene and of Blaine County and look forward to serving the communities of Northwest Oklahoma for many years to come.
